Le Coq Français

Created in 2017 thanks to the joint efforts of the Armenian Social Aid Association and the Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development, the “Le Coq Français” contest aims to contribute to the spread of the French language in Armenia.

Every year, this event brings together the best pupils from French-speaking schools, both public and private, from all regions of the country.

Traditionally held in March, the “Le Coq Français” contest comprises two stages: a first round takes place in the participating schools, followed by a final at the French University in Armenia, which has kindly opened its doors to this event since its inception.

Over the years, the number of participants in the “Le Coq Français” contest has grown steadily, establishing its status as an essential national competition.

Each year, we are dazzled by the level of knowledge of the participating pupils, who experience indescribable moments of emotion throughout the event.

Since 2023, the “Le Coq Français” contest has also benefited from the invaluable support of the French Embassy in Armenia and the French Institute of Armenia, reinforcing its impact and influence throughout the country.
