Women Empowerment-Australian Direct Aid

Women Empowerment through small business creation and vocational training was one of the successful models we embraced after the recent war in Armenia.

In 2023, the Australian Government supported our initiative to help vulnerable women attain independence and self-sufficiency through its Direct Aid Program.

Beneficiaries of the project were women whose husbands were killed and disabled during the 2020 war.

Eleven small businesses and fifteen vocational trainings were financed within the framework of this project in 2023.

In 2024, the Direct Aid Program will support 15 small businesses and 15 vocational trainings for vulnerable refugee women from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabagh).
